Paula Beaney, Quality Assurance Director at Europe’s largest live-in care provider Promedica24, has been appointed to the Homecare Association Board.
As the UK’s membership body for homecare providers, the Homecare Association seeks to make sure that live-in care is valued and promoted. Their work also includes ensuring that members receive the necessary support to deliver outstanding homecare and support to patients across the country.
Paula was nominated for the role by Promedica24 and overcame a tough field of strong candidates to win election. A trained social worker, Paula has over 30 years’ experience in the care industry and will bring a wealth of experience to the role.
As Quality Assurance Director at Promedica24, Paula sets standards across the organisation and ensures that teams deliver safe and effective services to the highest standards. Paula’s work also saw her take charge of Promedica24’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which posed a unique challenge to the live-in care sector. Her hard work was recognised in 2022, when Promedica24 was shortlisted for the Great British Care Awards ‘Social Care Covid Hero’ category.
Commenting on her appointment, Paula Beaney said:
“I’m delighted to have been elected to the board of the Homecare Association. As a passionate advocate for the value of live in-care to provide choice, independence and tailored support in later life, I’ve long been a supporter of the Association’s vital work in our sector. I’m looking forward to getting started and helping make sure homecare gets the recognition it deserves.
“I know that my predecessors did an exceptional job at the Homecare Association, and I hope to build on their work during my time in the role.”
