Care Worker support

Our Care Workers are part of the Promedica24 family and we take care of them as such. The work they do is challenging, emotional, and extremely important, making a difference to people’s lives every single day. Their happiness and well-being are crucial and we have a comprehensive support structure in place to support them.

A team of regionally based Care Managers who visit every Care Worker every month
Each Care Worker has a dedicated Personal Care Manager; a Team that calls the Care Workers on a fortnightly basis
Telephone support line
We organise a quarterly topic to help the Care Workers with their ongoing development
We have a development path from Junior Care Worker to Senior Care Worker
We undertake an Annual Survey Quality Check regarding the support they have received
We have a dedicated Relationship Team that checks the quality of the support at the beginning of the contract and after each Care Worker finishes a placement
We have a dedicated Care Staff Support Team where the Care Workers can apply for a support request or raise any concerns
We have a dedicated online platform that contains all the training materials, policies and procedures

When Care Workers are ‘off-contract’ and at home, they receive the same care and attention from us:

Activity Days

We run Care Worker days including picnics and sailing days.

Courses

We organise craft and cookery courses.

Family + Friends

Friends and family are encouraged to be involved in all activities.

Happy Care Workers make great carers, and great carers are what makes Promedica24 so special.

Helen Openshaw

Registered Manager – North Team

I choose to work in the care sector because I meet lots of amazing people all the time, from the people we support to other like-minded colleagues who genuinely care.

Working for Promedica24 has given me the opportunity to really make a difference to people who prefer to stay in their own homes, at a time in their lives when they feel a little more vulnerable.

I am glad to care because the rewards of building a relationship with a person who needs support and watching them grow in confidence and skills, is priceless and the rewards far outweigh working in any other job.

Witnessing the positive impact of my care and support on individuals who prefer to stay in the comfort of their own homes is truly rewarding. Being able to foster a strong bond and trust with those in need, witnessing their personal growth, increased independence, and enhanced skills brings immeasurable joy.  It’s a privilege to make a difference in someone’s life and contribute to their well-being and happiness.

Gillian Louggar

Registered Manager – South Team

I started working in care over 15 years ago.  My son was two and half at the time and I needed a job that would fit around being his mum.  I started as a Care Support Worker and quickly found that I really enjoyed being part of a care team.

I am passionate about good person-centred care where the person is always at the heart of everything we do.  I worked my way up over the years studying as I went along.

Working within Promedica24 has given me a great sense of team work, of the importance of supporting your team, and an understanding of how putting the people who use our service first has great benefits for all.

Care is where my heart lies, and being able to be a part of a fantastic care company in a leadership role is a challenge I am looking forward to, and one where I will give my very best.  I will uphold our values, and work hard with my colleagues to ensure we deliver the best possible person centred care.

Care Managers

Here at Promedica24 all our Care Managers are fully trained health professionals. This ensures that you can have confidence in their understanding of your or your loved one’s medical requirements. Moreover, you’ll have the opportunity to openly discuss any healthcare concerns or pose inquiries during your routine in-person appointments.

Katrina Murphy

Care Manager-North Team

I choose to work in the care sector because I know I am making a positive difference to the people we care for. I am reminded, every day, of the impact I have in the lives of others, and this drives my passion for working in the care sector.

Whether it’s assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support, or simply lending a listening ear, I know that my presence and actions have a direct and positive influence on the well-being and happiness of the individuals I care for.

Promedica24 are the best company that I have worked for, their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care is evident in their compassionate approach and their emphasis on providing high-quality, person-centered care. Working with a company that shares my values and prioritises the well-being of both clients and carers has further reinforced my passion for this fulfilling career.

Jonathan Exley

Care Manager-North Team

I have worked in care for the last 28 years in the community and residential care with elderly and special needs children.

I personally feel it is the best job as I get to help people either to learn and develop or to remain in their homes safe and well.  Developing relationships with them learning about their past and their wishes, likes and dislikes to meet their needs.

I have met people who worked with Laurel & Hardy, and a dancer who was with the Russian ballet.  You never know what people have done till get to know them and ask which I feel is what makes the work so interesting.
