Young Carers Day 2022

Caring for someone living with certain health conditions can be tough for professionals, so when family members need to offer assistance, this can be especially difficult to undertake. There are many young people across the country who are tasked with not only looking after themselves, but also caring for a close relative or friend who requires almost permanent attention.

What is Young Carers Day?

For all you amazing young carers out there, we are proud to celebrate an entire day which has been dedicated to the remarkable efforts you display each and every year. Throughout today, the aim is to increase awareness of the pressure and challenges young carers face, and also acknowledging the sort of commitment and sacrifices they make to ensure their care is delivered effectively.

This will also become a prime opportunity for young carers to reach out and possibly discover the support they need to make their lives even just that little bit easier. It’s a fine balancing act between caring for someone and looking after yourself, so Young Carers Day will help people identify the best way to ensure both aspects behind a carer’s life can be maximised in the best possible way.

If you’re a young carer, or know someone who cares for someone on a daily basis, then now is the time to join this campaign and give it the spotlight it needs to achieve the best possible impact. So, get social and use #YoungCarersActionDay to spread support, knowledge or anything else which can help.

We Can Help

Taking the strain away from young people is certainly something live-in care can provide. We can give someone the support they need, whether that be extensive amounts, or simply helping out every so often when things become too difficult to manage. Either way, we’re more than happy to discuss how our tailored care support could help maximise the future of both the young person and the individuals who need assistance on a regular basis.

One of the great benefits behind live-in care would be how everyone can remain at home. For conditions like Alzheimer’s where memory can be weakened quite considerably over time, this offers a more familiar platform to relieve some of the more pressing symptoms. It should also be far more beneficial for the young carer, who can retain their same routine, only this time with the help they need to keep their loved one safe and stable.
