20 March 2022
We’re all striving to be happy, but given the unprecedented circumstances the world has found itself in over the course of two years, this has been difficult to say the least. Now that things appear to be returning to some form of normality, our well-being has likely followed suit, but there’s always more which can be done to ensure you’re living a happy life every single day. So, today marks International Day of Happiness, and as the name suggests, the aim is to promote the idea of being happy.
What is The International Day of Happiness?
This is a worldwide celebration which is coordinated by Action For Happiness. The main focus is how the world should not only be concerned with increasing the global economic state, but also making sure people’s well-being has been considered. The day itself will highlight how the latter is actually the more important, so only by campaigning for more awareness can this actually become reality over the coming years.
There are loads of ways to get involved whether you need support or know someone else who needs a slight boost. Firstly, consider taking part in Happiness Coaching, where you get ten days of free content sent straight to your email or SMS. A number of expert webinars are also planned, all of which are hosted by world-leading happiness experts. Alternatively, simply downloading the app and joining the supportive community could help you unlock lots of amazing support.
Simple Well-Being Boosters
Even without support such as International Happiness Day, there’s still some really simple ways to maintain a positive outlook on life. Just taking a moment to collect your thoughts could be a great first step, this way, you’ll be able to organise which problems are causing you most stress and decide how best to tackle them.
Keeping active can also make a huge difference both to your physical and mental well-being. When things get really tough, just taking even a five minute walk could give you a real uplift. Something else to consider would be keeping around other people, especially given the implications that come from isolation, most notably overthinking things too much.
Have You Tried Companion Care?
If you’re unable to complete certain tasks which by design, should make you feel happy, then perhaps you need someone close by to give you the required support. With home companion care, you have someone ready to provide permanent attention, therefore the reassurance and encouragement often needed to take part in certain activities.
Simply having someone always there can do wonders to the mind, where you’ve now got instant support should you need it. Your companion will get to know you on a personal level and strike up the sort of relationship which more often than not, blossoms into a long and meaningful friendship for many years.
