We’re proud to announce that Todorka, one of our amazing live-in carers, has reached the final of Homecare’s Got Talent.
Todorka, who is originally from Bulgaria, has been working with Promedica24 for three years. She has a strong background in music, having studied at a specialist music school in Plovdiv before completing a degree in music pedagogy. Classical singing remains a passion to this day.
When Promedica24 shared details about the competition, she decided to take a chance. A friend offered to help her record a video in his home studio, and she submitted it to the organisers. Not long after, she was invited to audition in London and, after successfully competing in the semi-finals has now been selected as one of the finalists, chosen from over 75 talented carers across the country.
For Todorka, reaching the final is a meaningful moment. “It’s a great honour and privilege,” she said. She enjoys the opportunity to connect with others through music and sees performing as a way to share something that words alone can’t express. She will be singing O Sole Mio in the final, a piece she chose because of her deep affection for Italian music and culture.
Her client is fully behind her: “Listening to my recordings, they said, ‘You’ll probably win,’” Todorka shared.
We couldn’t agree more, and we can’t wait to see Todorka’s performance in the final, which will take place on 14th August. All proceeds will be donated to The Care Workers’ Charity.
