Promedica24 Secures Partnership With Mirthy

young male carer helping client with technology

29 April 2022

We are delighted to announce a brand new partnership with Mirthy and will start providing their premium subscription package, worth £60 a year, to both current and new clients from May 2022. This collaboration, the first of its kind in the home care sector, ensures that we can deliver a variety of incredible events for individuals in the comfort of their own home with on-going support available from their live-in carer

Who Are Mirthy?

Wellbeing and good mental health are of great importance to a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle, and our collective awareness of the need to look after ourselves has grown in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Understanding that our overall wellness is tied to positive social interactions and engagement, Mirthy was established in 2019 with the aim of enriching likeminded individuals with a comprehensive programme of events, truly bolstering their mood in the process. Supported by a caring team, Mirthy has created an inclusive community where people can share, learn, and connect through fun, sociable, and fulfilling activities in the comfort of their own home.

Why is This Important?

Connecting with others is vitally important when deterring the effects of loneliness. Being able to harness the power of online communication, people who may have difficulty getting around can still enjoy sociable activities with others. This fits perfectly into our approach to live-in care, as we strive for a greater sense of wellbeing when we deliver support to any of our clients.

Risk Factors Associated With Loneliness

Human companionship is more crucial than we perhaps realise. With others around, we obtain a far more calculated and reasonable perspective of life. Should people experience loneliness, it’s more likely that even the smallest concerns could grow completely out of proportion, and that can sometimes lead to things like paranoia.

It’s important to remember that loneliness and being alone are generally considered to be two completely different things. There are some of us who actually enjoy the feeling of being away from others, so they’re not going to experience the same fear and frustrations from people who feel lonely, as they do in fact feel the benefit from comradery, they just don’t have access to this.

Common Signs of Feeling Lonely

Aside from the obvious mental health concerns, there are many more factors which could indicate you feel lonely. This can include increased fatigue, gaining more weight and spending more time enhancing with content on social media.

Upcoming Events

There’s something for everyone with Mirthy. Over the course of 2022, people can enjoy yoga sessions, jazz classes and even witness a deep dive into the history of Hong Kong.

Whatever your preferences, be sure to check out their upcoming events here – https://www.mirthy.co.uk/event-calendar/

How can I access Mirthy?

Accessing Mirthy could not be easier. All of our customers will receive a unique username and password which they can use to access the website and virtually attend the over 120 events on offer each month. Once logged in, users can browse the full listing of events and add them to their personalised dashboard.
