Claire came to Promedica24 to arrange support for her grandad. As the largest provider of live-in care services in Europe, Promedica24 has over 15 years’ experience assisting people to live independently in their home. Our specialist approach empowers people to make choices about their care which work for them, receiving person-centred, one-to-one physical and emotional support, and companionship 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
After Claire initially contacted us, Care Manager Jo Anne reached out to her. If someone is considering Promedica24 to care for themselves or a relative, a Care Manager will be one of the first people they speak to. We’re experts in building bespoke care plans tailored to your specific needs, so our Care Manager will ask lots of questions in order to get to know individuals and families. They will also be on hand to provide support and advice throughout the process, ensuring you feel comfortable and have all the information you need.
“My experience with our care manager, Jo Anne, was really positive. Jo was very approachable and understanding of our needs and was overall a very easy person to get along with. She was always professional and came across as very experienced, being able to provide us with in depth knowledge about my Grandad’s needs and care plan.
“From the beginning, Jo has been easy to get in touch with, and I felt like I could always call her and I knew she would get back to me quickly. We often spoke on the phone for long periods of time, and she really listened to what I had to say – I never felt rushed when discussing any issues.
“When Jo first met Grandad in person she had a very personal approach, asking lots of questions about where he came from, his youth, his interest and hobbies. She was also interested in details, including what food he liked and what programmes he enjoyed watching, as she wanted to ensure that he would be matched with the right carer. Jo equally considered our family situation to make sure that we would be provided with a care solution best suited to our family dynamics.
“I felt like Jo really wanted what was best for Grandad and she would often check in on him to see how he was doing. After Grandad’s hospital stay, Jo advised us that his care might be more than we initially thought if he were to come home. She helped us carefully consider our next steps, always prioritising Grandad’s safety and wellbeing.
“I want to thank Jo for her assistance and for enabling Grandad to stay in his own home for as long as possible. She made this experience feel so simple, and it was greatly appreciated!”
