Promedica24, Europe’s largest provider of live-in care services, has appointed two new care managers to support the day-to-day operations of its care team in the UK.

Gillian Louggar and Dawn Bunting join the company with a combined experience of over 30 years’ in the care sector. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of care, supporting a number of clients across England. Gillian will be managing clients in the south of the UK including across Dorset, Hampshire, Poole and Cornwall, while Dawn will manage clients in the north, including Liverpool, Wirral and surrounding areas.

As part of their roles, the care managers will conduct care assessments and work with the clients and their families to develop personalised care plans. The plans are tailored to clients’ individual physical and emotional needs as well as hobbies and interests to ensure they can cultivate the lifestyle they enjoy and are familiar with, while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.

Gillian brings over a decade’s worth of experience, having previously qualified as a care trainer before moving onto a management role developing client relationships in the home care sector.

Gillian Louggar, a newly appointed Care Manager, said:
“It is an exciting time to be joining Promedica24 as the company’s workforce grows, and we look to reach more people who require full-time care and support at home.
“We are offering a genuine, affordable alternative to residential care – one that puts people and how they choose to live at the centre of everything we do. I am delighted to join a company that places such emphasis on adopting a person-centred approach and understands there is no one-size-fits-all solution.”

Dawn joins Promedica24 with over 15 years’ experience supporting young adults and older people in residential facilities and their own homes. Working up the ladder from care assistant to senior positions, including running a specialist dementia care unit, Dawn joined Promedica24 from a management role at a domiciliary care agency.
Dawn Bunting commented on joining Promedica24:
“There aren’t many roles where you can say you are making a positive difference in people’s lives every day – that is exactly what I’m able to do here at Promedica24. It is also great to work for a company that appreciates, inspires and supports its staff the way Promedica24 does.
“In my role, I work closely with the clients and their families, understanding their preferences, requirements and interests so we can assemble a care plan that puts them and their needs first. Live-in care is an incredibly rewarding sector and one I’d recommend to anyone considering a career in social care.”

Paula Beaney, Quality Assurance Director at Promedica24, said:
“Our care managers play a vital role in ensuring the care we provide is delivered safely, effectively, and to the highest standards. Dawn and Gillian both bring a wealth of
experience and knowledge to the team, and we’re delighted to have them on board with us.
“We are at a pivotal moment in time coming out of the pandemic, and the events of the last 18 months have caused more and more people to look for the safest care options for either themselves or their loved ones.
“Through our ongoing recruitment campaign, we aim to hire over 2000 new care workers, having already increased our workforce by 150 people since January. This will enable us to deliver our live-in care services to many more people across the UK. Dawn and Gillian’s expertise will be crucial to ensuring our clients and care workers feel supported every day and that we continue to deliver the highest quality live-in companionship and support.”
